Xie Nanxing
Xie Nanxing, born in Chongqing in 1970, graduated from the Printmaking Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1993 and received a master's degree in Printmaking from Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 1996. He currently lives and works in Beijing and Chengdu, China.
Through the gaze of daily life, the artist tries to seize and change the ordinary pictures, turning them into a memory closely related to the psychology. His artistic creation reflects the new generation of artists to the new understanding and research of the concept of painting, has a strong experimental. He was selected to participate in the 48th Venice Biennale in 1999 and has exhibited in important art exhibitions such as the 12th Kassel Documenta (2007).
