Inoue Yuichi

Inoue Yuichi , one of the founders of the "BOKUJIN", was born in Tokyo, Japan. He was regarded as an important representative of the post-war Japanese avant-garde art group, and the only Asian artist to be written into Western art history. Inoue Yuichi breaks the boundaries between calligraphy, abstract painting and performance art, therefore being highly acclaimed in the international art scene for this unique way of expression.


His works are widely exhibited all over the world, including "Abstract Japanese Calligraphy Exhibition" New York Museum of Modern Art 1954, "Sao Paulo International Art Exhibition" in 1957, and "Documenta" in 1959. His works was also exhibited along with those of well-known Western masters such as Jackson Pollock and Hans Hartung. He has contributed all his talent and energy transforming from traditional to modern form. Standing in front of his amazing works, the audience can feel the strong and unique power.
